Winter Transitions.

Here in LA there hasn’t been much of a winter at all, so I’ve been doing a lot of combining my cold weather clothing with warmer weather clothing, with layers that can be removed or added if needed. But if you’re residing anywhere other than SoCal, you might be worrying about how soon you’ll have to pack up your favorite chunky knits and fur collars as the sun starts to get a little closer to the Northern Hemisphere. OR maybe you’re getting giddy about Spring fashions promises and can’t wait to start adding them to your daily outfits. Either way, we have some tips that can help you experience the best of both worlds before Spring is in full force.

1) Start adding pops of color. Neutrals are a Winter’s best friend. Especially dark and cozy tones like black and gray. But as the days get a little sunnier, your wardrobe should too! Try these Cheap Monday Narrow Moss Ice skinnies with your favorite knit and high-heeled booties!

2) Winter on top, summer on bottom (or vice-versa). In LA we do a lot of this; sweaters with denim shorts, cropped tees with jeans and boots, fur coat with a mini-skirt, etc. It’s all about finding that perfect amount of coverage so you can breathe and still feel warm if there’s a little draft, all while looking as chic as possible. Try some chic leather shorts with a chunky knit and your favorite winter accessories.

3) Accessorize. Don’t be afraid to let your winter accessories keep doing their thing even when the weather’s a little less permitting. You can still rock a fur stole with a light-weight t-shirt and some jeans, or your favorite pair of closed-toe booties with a bodycon dress!

I hope this helps!! xx, Mieken
